REVIEW

I am officially over the halfway point since the entire main series only consist of twelve volumes, but I do plan on reading the two short stories and the two volumes of Sailor V as well. With that said, let’s talk about volume seven. Firstly, Yes! Yes! Yes! – to the beginning colored page of all the sailor scouts/guardians in bikinis. They look hot and fierce especially as a group. Honestly, this series has some great clothing/fashion. Next, let’s discuss the plot. It is an improvement from the previous volume. Readers are introduced to an array of problems and conflicts which created a lot of fun adventures. There are many unique villains, and the witches five finally attack together as a group. Moreover, readers learn about Hotaru’s body and her identity as Sailor Saturn which drives an even stronger division between the Sailor Scouts/Guardians as to whether Hotaru should be dead or alive. Plus, at the last minute, we get to see an ‘evil’ Hotaru looking extremely menacing. Can I just say that one line when Hotaru says farewell to her father was done very well? I have to admit that the whole Hotaru turning evil reminds me a little of chibi-usa and when she turned to the dark side earlier. However, it was still entertaining. Though there was a lot of cheesiness especially with the cringe-filled battle cries/slogans, it was still very good. My rating for this volume is 4/5.
